Virtual Archive

IZMIRAN Virtual Archive (VA) is an experimental web service aimed to provide enhanced capabilities for data search and access. IZMIRAN VA makes it easier to locate various data in remote archives, retrieve and analyze (preprocess) it on-line. VA addresses archives and catalogs worldwide in a universal fashion. VA ideology is similar to that of IVOA (International Virtual Observatory Alliance) but aims at more general data archives. To start using Virtual Archive you first have to register with the system supplying username and password. A working "Home" directory will be created for user's profile data, downloaded files etc. Login session expires after certain amount of time of user's inactivity. It is also possible to manually terminate session (LOGOUT).
